Selection Criteria
Selection Criteria
Each class will include participants selected from a diversity of communities within Polk County.
Individuals who have attained a senior leadership position within their business / organization.
Individuals who have demonstrated a commitment and interest to serve the community.
Individuals with excellent potential to play a significant role in the County’s future.
Individuals who will commit to one full day a month for six months, a mandatory evening orientation, a mandatory two-day opening retreat and mandatory closing retreat with graduation.
Please note: Class members will be considered
from all communities in Polk County. Applicants for Leadership
Polk who represent the following communities: Bartow, Lakeland,
Lake Wales or Winter Haven, must be a graduate of their local
Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership program before being considered
for Leadership Polk. At Large class members will be considered
from individuals working for organizations with a county-wide
focus.
